Using and investing in the right makeup brushes will help give you a flawless makeup look, and you will actually save money in the long run, because you'll use less product and your makeup is gonna last longer and remain germ-free, if you keep your hands out of it!
But with a million different shapes of brushes, it can be difficult to know which ones you actually need as a beginner.
Another dilemma you might be confronted with, is choosing the right material your brushes are made of, so here's what you need to know:
1)- A foundation brush: It works very well for blending and buffing foundation. Dip the brush into the foundation and buff it on to skin using circular motions. Start on the cheeks and blend back towards the hairline.
2)- A Powder brush: For dusting powder on the face. Brush lightly over skin following the natural contours of the face and insisting on the oily areas of your face like the T zone.
3)- A basic eye shadow brush: It has to be flat and natural. You actually need it to apply all over eyeshadow color.
4)- A Blush/ Bronzer brush: It should be soft and should have long bristles in order to not "mess" your foundation. Use it from the apple of the cheek up towards the ear.
-A lip brush can be considered as an essential brush as well, especially if you have thin lips. So if you find it hard to apply your lipstisck, then consider investing on a lip brush, it will make it much easier for you.
Make up brushes tend to be quite expensive, but you can find good quality ones for a very reasonable price. Check out brushes from ELF, Sigma, Real Techniques or Max Factors. All of these brands have good makeup brushes and they are not that expensive if you compare them with other brands.
Once you get these four must-haves, then you can move to the next level and buy more like an eyeshadow blending brush or an eyeliner/brow brush and more.
Do you use brushes to apply your makeup? if yes which brushes do you have?

Another dilemma you might be confronted with, is choosing the right material your brushes are made of, so here's what you need to know:
- Natural brushes are better for dry products like blush and eyeshadow.
- Synthetic brushes are best suited for cream or liquid products like concealer or foundation because they soak up less product than natural hair.
