How to tell your skin type...

Knowing your skin type is absolutely necessary in order to make the right decisions about what products to use and what kind of skin care routine you should have.
Your skin type is determined by how much -- or how little -- oil it produces. Genes, diet, stress level, hormonal fluctuations and medication are factors that determine the quantity of oil your skin produces.
How can you determine your skin type?
It's very easy! Use this simple test: When you wake up in the morning, take a clean facial tissue (or paper) and wipe your face with it:

1)- Normal Skin:
If the tissue does not reveal any traces of oil, then your skin belongs to the normal skin type.
You have a normal skin when you don’t notice any changes in your skin throughout the day and can try many kinds of products without having a reaction. It looks clean and smooth and has a good circulation. Normal skin is the least problematic type.

2)- Dry/Sensitive Skin:
If your skin is dry then the paper will be clean too, but your face skin will feel dry and tight after you have wiped it. The dry/sensitive skin can easily develop wrinkles, fine pores, and also reddish areas that can be itchy. It is very prone to aging and irritating. Skin products, sunblocks, and cosmetics sometimes sting or cause redness.

3)- Oily skin:
If you have oily skin, the paper will have spots of facial oil on it.
With this type of skin, your face tends to look shiny and greasy (especially at midday, when oil is at its peak). This kind of skin is problematic  because it breaks into acne, however it is not prone much to aging and wrinkling. Careful cleaning, minimizing of carbohydrate consumption, and avoiding rich creams can be helpful in improving the quality of oily skin.

4)-Combination Skin:
If your skin is combination, like most of women, the tissue will have traces of oil coming from your nose and forehead, but will be clean in the areas that touched your cheeks.
This type of skin is a mix of Oily and Dry skin, some areas like cheeks and around the eyes are very dry and require a rich moisturization, while other areas like forehead and nose (T-zone) are quite greasy and need frequent cleaning.
